The Verlagsanstalt Handwerk GmbH, founded in 1926, specializes in information for the trades and their businesses in Germany. With more than 60 permanent and freelance employees, we offer medium-sized companies a wide range of business and further education literature: newspapers and magazines, books and e-media.

Right in the middle of the craft

Our flagship – the Deutsche Handwerksblatt – with its total circulation of well over 300,000 copies informs almost every third craft business in Germany. Together with the website Handwerksblatt.de, the newsletter service and the social media appearances, we present know-how for everyday business and are the voice of our shareholders in political dialogue.

We stand for quality journalism

Our publishing house offers a wide range of medium-sized business literature such as newspapers and magazines, books and websites. As the official organ of 16 chambers of crafts, the Deutsches Handwerksblatt, with a total circulation of over 300,000 copies, provides information to almost every third craft business in Germany. In addition, there are the trade journals Gebäudehülle.net - the specialist magazine for facades, windows and glass, RTS roller shutters, gates, sun protection including the Forum Terrasse + Wintergarten and Liftjournal.

Strong in the further training of the craft

We also support providers, course participants and lecturers in the field of further training in the trades. The new Sackmann - the textbook for the master craftsman's examination incl. digital learning portal forms the reliable basis for master craftsman's training in Germany and, with numerous additional materials, offers a comprehensive range of teaching and examination preparation.

Information and advertising opportunities from a single source

With our trade journals, their corresponding online offers and our teaching and learning materials (print and digital) on training and further education offers in the trade, we present our customers with an extensive media program. With the attractive advertising opportunities that result from our variety of media, we can offer our customers everything from a single source: relevant industry information and targeted marketing. Our comprehensive range includes classic advertorials, customer magazines, special publications, supplements as well as the conception and implementation of multimedia productions and events.

Our Germany’s Power People have developed from an online voting campaign for a calendar to a casting that has been established in the trade for many years.

Whether with our new YouTube format "Handwerk kocht", trade fair reports, driving reports from commercial vehicles or instructional videos in the field of further training, we offer all-round packages in the field of video conception and production.
